‘2017 GAMMA Young Artist Competition’ lasted from May 6th to June 9th and attracted many artists from the fields of painting & sculpture, contemporary media art, and architecture & design.
352 participants from over 33 different countries (Republic of Korea, China, USA, India, England, France, UAE, Iran, Serbia, Russia, Poland, Italy, Albania, Ireland, Nigeria, Pakistan, Slovenia, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Australia, Bangladesh, Germany, Brazil, Netherlands, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Thailand, Cuba, Egypt, Thailand, Lithuania, Canada) submitted more than 1,000 works in total.
From the first round of selection, 10 candidates from painting & sculpture, 12 candidates from contemporary media art, and 3 candidates from architecture & design fields were chosen. 5 finalists among 25 shortlisted candidates have been chosen by an international team of juries and they will have an opportunity to exhibit and present their works at 2017 GFMC Vienna.
